The ZXP Series 3 printer is designed to work only with Zebra True Colors ix Series high-performance ribbons which are specifically formulated for high print speed and high print quality. The easy-to-use Load-N-Go drop-in ribbon cartridges include intelligent media technology for automatic ribbon detection and printer configuration, optimized imaging and a low ribbon warning indicator.

Zebra True Colours i-Series ribbons use thermal transfer printing technology, a process by which a heated printhead is used to transfer a digitized image from the ribbon to the surface of the card. Zebra True Colours i-Series monochrome ribbons are available in a variety of colors including black, red, green, blue, gold, silver, white and scratch-off gray.
